Sungho Chae
Licensed acupuncturist and owner
- Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) · CA License no. 000000
Sungho practices Saam and hand-and-foot point care, the style he learned in Korea and in California. He speaks English and Korean.
Persimmon Acupuncture is a two-person clinic on La Palma Avenue, in Orange County, a short drive from Koreatown.
Sungho Chae opened the clinic to practice the Korean style of acupuncture he learned in Korea and in California: few needles, placed shallowly, and a lot of talk about what each one is for. Dongwook Heo joined as associate and works with herbs and cupping as well.
We named the clinic for the persimmon: sweet in the fall, dried for the winter, and a fruit many Korean families keep on the table.
We use Korean words for the things we do, and we always translate them. If a word is new, ask. Our Korean terms page lists the ones we use most.
