What people come in for
People come to us for many reasons. Acupuncture is one option, results vary, and this list is not a promise. It is what we hear most often.
Common reasons for a first visit
Neck, shoulder and upper-back tightness
Often from long hours at a desk or in a car.
Low back and hip stiffness
A back that complains in the morning or after sitting.
Knee and ankle aches
Aches that come with stairs, walking or standing at work.
Headaches and jaw tension
Tension that builds up through the day.
Sleep and feeling worn out
Trouble settling at night, or waking tired.
Stomach upset and low appetite
Digestion that has not felt right for a while.
What acupuncture doesn't do
It doesn't replace your doctor, your medicines or tests.
We don't diagnose a medical condition or promise a result. We make a pattern assessment from your pulse, your tongue and your story, and we say plainly when something is outside what we do.
See a doctor first for chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, a high fever, a new lump, or pain after a fall or an accident. For an emergency, call 911. Acupuncture works alongside your doctor's care and never replaces it.
Not sure it fits?
Describe what brings you in when we call you back, not in the form. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right place.
